The Champion Canterbury Awards in association with The Press, celebrate business excellence, passion and success. They recognise the contribution small, medium and large enterprises make to the vitality of the Canterbury region. The awards are now widely recognised as the premier business Awards, hosting the largest business Awards Ceremony in New Zealand. They have become an eagerly anticipated event on the corporate and social calendar.
In their 13th year, the awards are run by a subsidiary of the Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce and judged by a panel of about 30 people from the business community. The Champion Canterbury Business Awards 2015 have attracted a record 196 entries, 21 per cent more than the last record year of 2012. Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce chief executive Peter Townsend, also chairman of Champion Canterbury Limited, said while the record number was pleasing the high quality of entries was an even better indicator of how the business community was performing at present.
The announcements were made at a special function at Tait Electronics hosted by accountancy firm PwC.
BVT has been named as a finalist in the Professional Services, Small Business Category for the second year in a row.
The sold out awards night takes place on Wednesday the 16th of September at Horncastle Arena.
