On Wednesday 31 May, BVT Engineering Professional Services hosted its inaugural Auckland event at the Icehouse business hub, our headquarters in the nation’s capital.
The event focused on the ‘As Built vs As Designed Nature of Construction, with the objective of bringing together as many people as possible who are related to this industry in one room, and highlight the benefits of working together in a more collaborative, agile manner. The theme clearly struck a chord in the market, to the point where we were completely oversubscribed.
The notion of agile versus waterfall approaches to project management, resonated strongly with the multidisciplinary audience. With engineers, architects, lawyers, installers and builders all in one room, there was a robust Q&A session as to how we all need to do more with less.
BVT specialises in working across the ‘messy’ stages of large scale projects. Through exceptional client service, the ability to speak ‘multiple languages’ from management through to the front line, we thrive in fast paced, complex environments which demand agility. It was evident from the discussion the ability to successfully deliver projects in this space is in high demand.
We are keen to contribute to the ongoing industry discussions, and look forward to welcoming others to join the conversation at our next event.
